Arena Questions

Hey All

I know this is a little late in the seaosn to be posting but just wondering if anyone could help me with a few problems I am having with arena. I have two characters at the moment running arena, a Level 70 Frost spec Mage and a Level 70 Feral Druid. Neither of them is doing amazing, my mage is grouped with a Warrior in 2v2 and my druid doesnt even have a partner after my Paladin friend left.

Bascially I was wondering the following;

1. What would be an ideal parter for a 2v2 for my druid?

2. What spec should I be looking at for my druid, I am happy to shift to Resto if that is better than Feral?

3. What class should I be partnering with on my mage, for 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5?

4. Is it worth spending points on armour now with S4 so close, or should I just wait till then?

Hey Krodan, for your frost mage your gonna wanna get a rogue partner for a 2v2 team (i have a rogue and recently paired with a mage and we are doing better than any other class i've been paired up with) for your 3v3 on your mage your gonna wanna look for a rogue & disc priest to run with (the cc with this team is insane) and i really don't kow much about 5s to tell you sorry =/. For your druid feral is viable in arena, only thing is that it takes a heavy amount of gear plus skill in order for it to be successful, I would try farming for some resto gear for your druid (respec to resto for pvp/arena) and look for a Lock or Warrior to pair up with for 2v2. Feral Druid.

They do slightly less well with a warrior than a Resto druid would.

You'd likely be looking a disc priest (good luck finding one), frost mage or rogue.

Mind you, if the Scare Beast change goes through as planned you might as well forget about doing Arenas as Feral.|||Either that or go Resto and get a Hunter as your partner. Since i've partnerd my resto with BM hunter Arena we are doing very well atm. With my Cyclone & roots and the hunters traps it tends to work nice.

Aslo healing makes a nice change in BG and a good way to clock up the HK kills, I was surprised how many times I tops the list of hk kills just by healing.|||Quote:

Realistically it's rogue or **** off now for feral druids, it's not S1 where Warrior/Paladin was the comp you had to counter (when Mage/Feral was incredible, btw), but it's S3 where the team to beat is Warrior/Druid - meaning you **need** to be able to gib something without a counter spell, and that means gibbing the druid.|||Quote:

Check out the disc/feral teams. Last I saw there's one @ 2323 rating and most of the 2k+ ferals are working with a disc priest.

Frost mage works, but requires massive coordination in terms of crowd control combos and it really lost a fair bit of oomph compared to s1. It'd still work well enough to get up the ratings though.|||http://www.wowarmory.com/team-info.x...&select=Boolak

Feral/Rogue team that has recently come out of inactivity I believe, that team's been top 40 on US Bloodlust every season now iirc (and they've been top 10 at times) which is a heck of an achievement imo.|||Thanks for all the replies have been a real good source of information.
