BG or Arena

I started playing wow around summer 2006 and i fell in love with pvp and raiding they were just both funner then hell to me.

Well when i was around the late 40's i was in the bg's everyday getting armor and other goodies. And i had alot of great experiences with fellow players.

Well when the arena was introduced i was pretty excited but once i tried it I didn't like it at all idk why and i'm not saying it sucks but its not right for me.

I really wish Blizz would put a little more pwr into the bg's again but i was wondering if anyone else felt this way? Maybe with the new pvp zone in Northrend things will be fun again....i hope|||The only problem I have with arenas is that you can't PuG them as easily, and also there are too many morons out there who, if you lose a game or two are all like "OMFG L2P UR teh W0rst arena pvp toon evar, why didn't you *ability" me or *ability* him? u suck gtfo of teh team"

Edit; And no I don't play Alliance, lol|||I'm the same way. I like BG's and raiding, but I really hate arena. If you didn't roll the right class, haven't geared up for the right spec for the right class or want to play with your friends instead of people you don't know who are the right spec and the right class you are pretty well hosed. Now that the new BG gear forces you to arena to a certain rating it makes it even more frustrating.

Oh well, in a few months we'll be vendoring all this gear anyway for some shiny new greens so just time to save up points i guess.|||Quote:

Worst part is that you can't vendor most of it and have to do the infamous "Delete", because the vendor for some reason, doesn't want that item.... /cry|||BGs are dead with X-Server and that's not changing..|||i personally like to do BG and Arenas i'm a mage so i'm not to great at either, but its fun especially when you have a friend(wether you know them outside of the game or not) and you compete with them, who ever gets the more killing blows or damage or healing or whatever wins, i do it all the time or i find someone who i want to beat it just gives me more of a reason to play in BGs and on arenas just play with your friends if you want to do well you'll get better but just have fun with it|||not being able to vendor most gear > rocking home to find all your gear vendored and your account stripped of everything. thats what the deal is.|||Quote:

In my humble opinion, arena's have ruined the pvp game. I played on a pvp server for a time and having a full S3 70 land on your head and blow you to bit's, even when your a 70 is frusterating to say the least.

Not to mention the class changes that have been implemented due to faults found in arena matches....

I haven't nor will I join an Arena team. Both my 70's are a resto shaman and a MM hunter so neither do well in there anyways.



'|||Play BGs and Arena.

It isn't too hard to get to 1550 to get the pants. I'm a complete nubcake when it comes to arena and I've gotten there. I would say every team combination could get to 1550 with enough practice.

The Guardian gear isn't that much better than the Vindicator's gear, so if you want you can just grind the Vindicator and Merciless from the BGs and get what you can from the arena.

If you already have all the Vindicators and Merciless you need from the BGs then don't bother grinding Guardian gear as it will be replaced by greens while levelling in Wrath. It would make more sense to save those points and use them on the level 80 pvp gear to give you a boost.
