Why world PvP SHOULDN'T suck in WoW

Still can't get my head around the idea that world PvP in WoW is all but useless as far as rewards, where going out and hunting in enemy territory often against greater number is all but worthless. You'll never get amazing fights like this in a BG because you simply can't get 6 Vs 17 in there :(

This one is huge, but in glorious quality. Group of 6 take on 17 WITH the enemy zerging. Was really hoping for more of this in WoW when I came over :(

Just get two healer friends, a couple of warriors, you and a druid (root) to FW or SP GY, and there you got it!.

Though I agree, world pvp outnumbered battles are way cooler.

Check the druid+warr smashing an BWL raid outside BRM before TBC. Now there's some world pvp :)

It's very long though, about 40 minutes, and if you played some 2v2 against warr+druid you will recognise a lot of it...

Though before TBC, it was a gamebreaking in the use of warr+dru synergi.|||Another reason for or how to make world PvP better - contested epics. They were fighting for 3-4 hours non-stop last night:

External site with bad language :)|||Well imo the problem with world PvP is that on most servers the alliance population is twice the number of the horde population.

For instance, on my server Halaa is alliance in 95% of the cases. Try to cap it and you're thrown out pretty quickly just because you're outnumbered.

Same for the Hellfire PvP daily. As hordie the only way you can do this is �r asking the whole guild to help �r do it at 4 AM.

Yes it's nice to have a few skilled and well-geared players defeating a host of enemies, but that's not what 99,99% of world PvP is like.

That's why BGs are better; at least you start off with approxiomately the same numbers.

A good idea would be to give horde yet another attractive race in the next expansion and to give alliance something silly. Only when the factios are 50-50 world PvP would become a nice alternative.|||Quote:

Not on mine. And I only had to check out the next server on the list to see an opposite situation. So it's actually pretty far from "most".

I didn't know they have one. Blood elves disgust me more than my undead priest does.

This just to show another thing that might as well be counterproductive with your proposed changes.|||Being outnumbered = more kills over there. The best players, the ones that want PvP, PvP gear and (something like) respect all roll on the outnumbered team.

This is the kind of thinking that has convinced me to stick to the alliance, since everyone I've met on the horde seems to repeat this same mantra.

Even when the alliance is actually the outnumbered side, like on my server.
