PvP ettiquite?

So, I feel rather silly asking, but as a noob that doesn't want to be one of THOSE noobs, what is the proper thing to do when one encounters the opposite faction who is light years ahead of them lvl wise, and who is nice enough not to pound the you know what out of you? I would never attack them, but should I be letting my faction know they are there, or leave them be? Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I hate feeling like I might be one of those people that gets scorched on boards like these later for not knowing what to do.|||hmmm...

If they don't bother you, I'd salute them and move on.

If they bother you, or you like to see blood on the pavement, tell your faction...Your faction may or may not care, but that is up to those hearing the message.|||I would say if they ignore you and go about their business, you may be wise to do the same. Throw them a slaute and move on.|||i learnt that if u touch 1 alliance ur messing with 50 of em so dont go startin it lol|||Well it kind of depends on the area that your in. If you are in The Barrens, then they will most likely care. If you are near a main city, they should definitally care. If you are near Hillsbrad or Gankhills, noones really going to give a crap about it since SouthShore is like right down the path.|||Repeat after me:

"There is no such thing as PvP Etiquette"

And

"If you're in a fair fight, someone picked the wrong fight".

You're welcome.|||I immediately KoS any other faction, regardless of level....mainly because it would be safe to assume that they would do the same to me, and probably have my same reasoning for doing so.|||The only time another faction isn't KOS is when I'm in a hurry or have just taken a beating (from a mob or otherwise).|||I used to be on a PvE server, but recently moved to a PvP server with a different set of friends from the D2 boards that also play WoW. I've been ganked all of once, and I'm sure that will change as I progress more into contested areas and enemy territory.

The guild I'm in is KoS by many Alliance guilds on our server, so I'm handling PvP like this:

If an Alliance is "??" to me I try my best to get away before I get killed, this means also avoiding the main roads whenever I can in contested areas. If it's someone under 10, I will normally leave that person alone unless they start with me. If it's around my level he or she is KoS unless in combat. I'll move in for the kill after they loot their target, or maybe not depending on how I feel that day

If it's someone that hasganked me in the past, I have the name in gank mod and "****list" mod, and if I can it's kill city.

That's all for solo play, in groups it's kill or assist as needed.|||Aye it's funny to see people getting all cut about getting ganked on a pvp server. Seriously, no cut down intended, roll on PvE servers. No ganking, all happy go lucky hi5s with the opposite faction.

Otherwise there's only one rule.

Win.
