How can Blizzard look at seasons worth of dominance by a handful of classes, and then decide it's a good idea to require a rating for gear is one of the most short sighted, and poorly thought out things ever implemented in WoW.
At least in the other seasons, if you played a crap arena class, you could still end up with gear. The fact that it took you longer on a gimped arena class to get gear was enough of a handicap. All this season has done, is give the classes that already have an advantage in arena a bigger one.|||Correct, and the people who are worse at 5v5's are usually better at 3v3's or 2v2's. I understand it sucks, cause yes it's taking the shaft for something you should enjoy, but this game isn't really about just giving gear out for being bad.
Here, I found a quote that I thought was extremely fitting... "Take 30 monkeys for this test. Put 25 monkeys in SSC, and put 5 monkeys in the Arena. All 30 monkeys are flinging poop at eachother. Who will get epics first?"
Answer: Arena.|||There is no class that can't do well in arena. It might not necessarily be with you desired spec, but that's something else.
If anything, they started with the personal ratings far too late.|||it's not all doom and gloom. granted. the REALLY awful comps will have a hard time getting the ratings, but I've seen many 'average' comps able to hit 2400. Just shows me that you don't have to have the 'perfect' class setup to get S4 items, they're still attainable via classes that aren't considered the 'best'
