19 mage changes since wotlk?

Back in the day, I had a sub-par geared 19 mage.

2 sets of gear, either 1200hp with 30ish fire dmg, or 800hp with 120 fire dmg.

my question is now, has wotlk changed any of this?

any new 'gear' that I can get or is it the same as pre-Wotlk. Still spec frost but gear +fire dmg?|||There were big changes in 2.4. The only thing that WotLK brought was heirloom items, but I am not sure if they are even useful for 19 bracket or if the existing best in slot items are still superior.|||well the heirloom shoulders seem to be a huge advantage with the shoulder chants. not sure if they count or not but they seem to.

other than that, glyphs i s'pose. i havent played since a month before WotLK came out.
