Shamwow! (Shaman confusion)

[:1]Hey folks, finally got my first 80 (pal) and finished his PVP set! Well I wan't to roll and alt and I kinda wanna play a shaman. Though i've been reading a ton and may be starting to be a bit discouraged. I am hearing resto shamans are the worst of Priest/druid/pali/sham in the healing class. And that shaman are not that great in dpsing arena either (whether that be ele or enhan)

Can someone give me some insight to the usability / comparative to other classes concerning Arena. Explain Resto/ele/enhan for me? why they suck why there good etc?

I really appreciate any clarification.

1. Elemental. Ranged dps. High burst. Best of the shaman specs at pvp. High armor value in mail.

2. Enhancement. Melee dps-some ranged. Not so high burst, more sustained. Usually considered easiest/best leveling spec.

3. Restoration. Healing spec, minor support dps. Although it's gotten somewhat better now that they have hot, not really designed for on the fly/small group healing. Comes into their own in larger group healing, raid esp. Tree druids are generally considered to be better at pvp healing, cast faster, etc.|||Quote:

Actually Enh can be very burst if carrying a 2h'er. A triple crit wf proc is a beastly hit at any lvl, especially in the lower ones. And now with the ability to lvl through pvp, Enh with a 2h in bg's in the low lvls can be devastating.|||Hice, lol.

2H for Shaman = Thing of the past. That's Pre-BC.
