Server switching to PvP?

Ok, I was going to ask this on the official WoW forums, but I kinda guessed how that would end, so I remembered when I played Diablo, all I used to ever use was Inc Gamers, and I just remembered about the WoW section. (So Hi to everyone on this side as well)

Havn't been 80 a very long time, but I've started to realize that Raids/Dungeons are a bit boring to keep running. I'd kind of like to change into the PvP content (Mainly rated battlegrounds come cata, along with getting into arena as well) The problem is my server is PVE and doesn't exactly have a large amount of PvPers.

I've heard a number of the PVP realms are pretty dead, so I'd try to find one at random, but it might be a bit tougher. I was wondering if anyone had some advice on any realms which have good sized guilds to try applying to, that regularly play battlegrounds/other PvP oriented content. (I'm horde atm since that might make a big difference)

I can't help a ton with advice. The only PvP server I have experience with is an RP-PvP server, so if you aren't looking for an RP server as well, it probably wouldn't be a good fit.

I'd look for a balanced pop realm instead of one that is one sided. One sided servers aren't much fun for PvE, and I'd imagine they're worse on PvP servers.
