healer pvp classes

[:1]hey ive recently come back to wow for cata and i wanted to make a healer class since ive played dps before(rogue and hunter), i love to pvp and prefer range classes, i was just wondering with all the recent changes to classes, which healer classes are good to kill people, i was looking at the shaman but ive herd they have gone under some nerfs and are only good for healing, also if u want to be good at pvping with a shaman u need good gear for their burst damage. the two other classes i was considering are druids and priest which i dont know much about, i would be considering a pally but i dont like melee any suggestions?|||Strangely enough, I think paladins have some of the strongest healer burst right now, but the honest truth is that all healer burst has been pretty badly neutered. It's exceptionally hard to kill another player as a healer these days. Most dps specs have enough self healing to outpace healer dps. I honestly don't know that any one healing spec really outpaces the others when it comes to dps.

Now you've made me miss the days when I could actually kill other players on my healing priest. Now I just have to hang out and keep myself alive until a mage wanders by to help me.

Don't get me wrong, healers are good in PvP right now, they are just very much in a support roll. Healer vs. DPS 1v1 has a nasty habit of coming out as a draw these days all things being equal.|||i second this, paladins are the strongest pvp healer right now. They are like a healing tank on steroids.|||Quote:

They're the single worst healers in BGs/ Arenas.

They can't heal while CC'ed (as opposed to HoTs/Earth Shield/PW:S), -need- to cast to heal (other than Holy Shock) which makes them very susceptible to interrupts and have the weakest CC of all healers.|||healer vs dps is a draw only till the healer runs out of mana, in the long run the dps will almost always win in the end.|||Quote:

thumbs up to that

70 arena questions

[:1]Hello I'm currently level 70 on my rogue and i was wondering if i could still level while doing level 70 arenas? i herd its 70-74 brackets but im not quite sure. please let me know if i can arena at level 71,72,73,74?|||i guess no one knows...|||Should be able to, but I'm not sure how active it would be. You can queue all you like, but if no one else is...

Sidenote, Arenas will not give you any experience. BGs will.

Multi boxer

[:1]Iv played wow for quite some time now, always on a pvp server. I have been hunted and killed by the other faction, and i have hunted and killed them in return, thats the way for life, its a savage cycle.

Now im a huge fan of BGs and stay in the Q for most of my time on, waiting for the tol b Q. But something thats been really destroying the BG matrix of fight and live or fight and die is the multi boxer, the server iv played on has a alliance 8-10multi boxing toon, not sure the exact number, i usally die befor i can count them, hell i die befor i can turn and run away.

On tol b its a real unfair advantage because the multi box has perfect tactics, as hes one person, so its almost impossible to capture all three points, as a matter of fact, we have yet to do it when hes in the raid.

Now i know its not against the rules of the game being that its paid for accounts, but blizzard might want to change some rules around. I know on my server alone more that 100 players have left the game and moved to rifts or some other mmorpg, my guild alone has lost 10-15 members do to it, i dont know if its like that on other servers, i really hope not.|||There's been a bit of talk about this on the official forums recently. Story short: Blizzard don't mind, as long as that person isn't using any hacks or cheats. 'Deal with it.'|||Thats fine im not saying they should stop them altogether, But there are some things that they really unbalance, such as TolB BG, its just to easy for him to rool up to a flag and kill what defence there is and cap in like a few secs.|||multiboxing pisses me off i cant get it to work just right for me so i stopped|||Multiboxers are easily dealt with if your team is a little bit experienced. There are far worse things.

Halaa at War!

[:1]I declare war!

July 30th at 3-5pm realm time: Come to Halaa and fight with all your might for glory and those ever elusive Halaa Battle Tokens and be one of the few to have the Dark Riding Talbuk or the Dark War Talbuk!

Alliance and Horde will both be needed for this, so tell your friends and fight your enemies!

If horde, you can PM me to get invite to group to ensure we all get credit for the tokens. Alliance will have to moderate their own.

So group up, Gang up, and get it on in Nagrand!!

Pally vs DK?

[:1]Hi all, I am just wondering, lets say if equally skilled player with equal gear, what happens when a pally and dk meet? Do the talent, abilities, etc... give one class an edge over another? Just been wondering, I know both are beast in pvp, what happens when they meet? I am kind of thinking the edge might go to pally for the bubble and healling. They also have some handy stuns. Of couse I could be off, let me know. Thanks.|||Equal skill and gear? I'd have to say the Paladin... Unless they're equally crappy playing, and equally crappy geared... Then I'd say the DK, cause DK's are a bit easier to play than Pally's when it comes to PvP, and especially duels.|||Stun, heal, immunity shield...

Paladin wins. No contest.|||mmm DK has 2 silences (one on a 2 min CD though). But the stuns and healing will win most matches I'd say. I have no sympathy for pallies in PvP right now (and I'm seeing very competitive damage in 5 mans from ret). A pally will say they have no real mobility skills... but neither does a rogue aside from Shadowstep which is not spammable (like Blink is) and the rogue can't bubble, heal etc. Yes yes... I know... CoS. 5 seconds when you're 5-10k burst can't kill me. Big whoop.|||paladin man!|||Quote:

This depends on several factors: talent builds of the participants, enviromental LOS-blocking obstacles or lack thereof, the presence of other players, access to consumables, the element of surprise, blind luck, etc.

Rogues, however, have access to Crippling Poison, which is far superior to the Paladins' Judgement of Justice.

Silence, lifedrain, antimagic shell (yes, it stops Holy damage), multiple shieldwalls, snares...

It's closer than you think.|||Umm... Dks can heal themselves. Dks can stun. Dks can snare...

Not that any of this matters, because as some say, rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock.|||Just to put things into perspective:

Death Knights can solo Doomwalker.

Yes, Doomwalker - the ?? world raid boss who has over 2 million hitpoints, who can sunder your armor to 0, and who melees for 16K while enraged.

Surely a lowly level 80 paladin would be easier to kill?|||Shockadin and ret will almost always beat a dk.

Prot and holy pallies dps can be healed easily by a dk so it's just a matter of the dk outlasting the pallies mana pool.|||I would say a paladin, they have two lives (lay of hands) and a pretty much god mode for 12 seconds with a 50% decrease in damage. IMO and plus they have a decent DPS and heals

Best class to compliment my friend's hunter?

[:1]First WoW character (if you can believe it). Have played UO, EQ, AC, Matrix Online, Aion and Rift though.

I usually stay with Hybrid classes but have gone Ranger or Mage lately.

My friend wants a pocket healer of course, but I don't want to be just healing all the time if you know what I mean.

Any builds and strategies are welcomed. I do use hardware and software macros on my mouse to keep from having to button mash so long chains aren't a problem.

Thanks from a WoW noob ;)

Edit: Leaning towards Shaman or Paladin (suggestions? gear/rotations?)|||I'd suggest Shaman as well.

Enhancement / BM hunter blow things up quite fast, but when I played along with a friend's hunter I found it was a bit frustrating to play Melee. Shaman have the option of going Caster DPS as well as Healer. Dual DPS is fine for pretty much anything you'll encounter outside of instances and you can always go Resto if needed.|||thanks........
