hit or crit?

Looks like we have a lot of options now for gear. There's like 6 capes and necks.

For my ret pally I was wondering if I should go for the hit or crit stuff.

ATM i'm thinking hit because I've fought a few holy/prot pallys that were harder to hit than I thought.|||how much crit and hit do you have atm?|||pve or pvp ? endgame or not ?|||http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...a&n=Kanethedog

I decided to dust off my old main. Got turned off when everyone started to go ret.

He's my pvp toon. ATM he's got 54 hit solely from his weapon.

Crit is 24.21% unbuffed but it goes up when I judge from both the talent and my libram.|||Hit. Up till 5% minimum, 7% if possible without gimping stats.

You'll want to regear too - using a merciless piece @ 80 still just does nothing for you.

You may wish to reconsider a respec as well (to 0/20/51 or so).|||why 7% ? Steve said that this is his pvp toon, and i suffer from the illusion that you only need 4% hit for pvp ?|||Quote:

I think some classes have talents that reduce their chances to be hit. Like Arctic Winds for the frost mage.|||PvP misschance is 5%.

Night Elves have a 2% additional chance to be missed.

There's a couple of talents out there as well that reduce the chance to get hit. Frost Mages come to mind, as mentioned above.
